  • TIPOLISO Empowers Malawian Women for Disaster Resilience and Sustainable Energy Solutions

Supported by Australian aid through UN Women and CARE Malawi, TIPOLISO is implementing the “Women’s Resilience to Disaster” project in Malawi. This initiative empowers women to lead in disaster risk reduction and resilience-building within their communities.

The project includes training women to become advocates and leaders in disaster preparedness and crisis response.

In addressing energy challenges, the project also engages women and girls in sustainable energy solutions. Two women’s groups are producing eco-friendly briquettes made from agricultural waste, offering a renewable energy source that reduces deforestation and improves indoor air quality. This initiative not only promotes environmental sustainability but also provides economic opportunities for women in the community.
